Good Friday Morning!
I feel like sometimes I live for Friday’s. The excitement of the weekend, not having to get up at the crack of dawn, being able to do what I truly want to do with my day. I guess this could sound negative, but I’m going to make a point here. For the longest time I would dread getting up in the morning for work. I just wished I had more time to do the things I truly wanted to do like actually eat breakfast, sit down and drink my coffee, maybe even work out before work. However, I tried so hard to get up earlier in the mornings so that I could do all those things and I’m going to be honest it lasted about one week and then I never did it again. Yes, I guess it takes self discipline but I also think you have to think about what type of person you are. I know that I am NOT a morning person, never have been. Then I read this book called The Miracle Morning. I think it is a great read (or listen to). It inspired me to really think about how I choose to live out my morning. I decided to just try to wake up 30 minutes earlier, that’s all, just 30 minutes. Think about what you can get done in 30 minutes, definitely more than I had imagined! It has worked! My morning routine is so much more enjoyable and I feel like it helps to fill my cup for myself rather than jumping out of bed to fill someone else’s cup. I urge you to try designing your own morning routine. I am definitely not finished designing mine, but I have definitely made a good start.
